Workshop on English proficiency and employment held at DU

A workshop on “English accomplishment Proficiency and Employment” held on may 28, R C Majumdar Auditorium at DU. In the program, Sadia Afrin,Assistant Prof. of WRC dept, hosted the program while dr. Md.Jahangir Alam, chairman of WRC dept, addressed it as the chief guest.

There were also present Arifa bari, chairman of LTDEZ and General secretary of National Fluency Olympiad, and Dr. Father Tapan D Rozario, former Chariman of WRC, as special guest. 

Department of world religion and culture(WRC) of Dhaka University with the collaboration of Latent talent discovery and Employing Zone (LTDEZ) organized the program.

As the chief guest, Professor Dr. Jahangir Alam,Chairman of WRC, said,“ there is a need for such an arrangement so that our students can represent themselves in the world by acquiring English language skills and not being unemployed but can be employed through proper training”.

He also said,“ none can deny the importance of English language learning. So, I hope you can perform well in the global arena by overcoming all obstacles and persevering with determination to master the English language and such skills in any situation.”

In the speech as a special guest, Arifa Bari said,“ LTDEZ has trained more than twenty five thousand students so far and thousands of students are leading in different sectors at home and abroad after acquiring English language skills from this institution. Which is typically significant”.

Motivating students, She also added,“don't look for jobs, look for skills, give time, achieve, then jobs will follow you. Productive skills; learn to speak English and Bengali fluently, learn basic computer skills. I believe that if you are a workaholic and determined,  you can lead not only Bangladesh but also the world”.

As the other special guest, Dr  Father Tapan D Rozari said, We are so proud of this Backbencher Shahriar Emon, the founder of LTDEZ, the easiest and quickest language acquiring organisation I have ever seen.

There were also many promising language trainers and international leaders; some of them are Samira Sultana, the president of World Anchoring Association (WAA) of Bangladesh, Nafisa Nower Nomani, the president of English as second language teachers and Leadership Association and its General Secretary Mohammed Shadman were present there.

Also, the president of the Media Association of Journalists and Presenters, Khaled Masud Sifat and its Secretary Ahnaf Al Udvash, and the Convener of Organisation of Debate to Reign, Raifa Nawal Jinan and The convener of Content
