Climate change network of knowledge and research launched and workshop held in Munshiganj. The workshop was organized in the auditorium of Munshiganj Sadar Upazila on Tuesday at 11 o'clock in the joint initiative of Pragya Solutions and Anveshan Munshiganj.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education) Md. Kamrul Islam Khan was present as the chief guest in the workshop. Munshiganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer Hossain Md Al Junayed presided over the workshop.
Under the supervision of Upazila Manager Md Qayum, Deputy Director of District Agriculture Extension Department Md Khurshid Alam, District Fire Service Office Deputy Assistant Director (DAD) Md Mostafa Mohsin (BFM), Deputy Director of District Women Affairs Office (Acting) Aleya Ferdowsi and Executive Director of Onneson Mitali Nusrat Parveen were present as special guests.
Progga Solutions Manager John Paul DeRosario, Exploration Project Officer Kazi Ferdous Ahmed, NGO workers and journalists were also present. The workshop discussed disaster risk reduction, exercise, preparedness, early warning, shelter for protection, relief and rehabilitation. The Climate Action Network (CNA) empowers people for participatory disaster management at the local level and strengthens both pre- and post-disaster activities in seamless collaboration with government authorities.
