Workshop on child drowning prevention held in Cox’s Bazar

In Cox's Bazar, a two-day training for journalists on issue-based news and increasing media activity on prevention of child drowning has started. The training was started today at 10 am in the specialized educational institution of the district administration, Arunodayer Hall. District Commissioner Mamunur Rashid inaugurated the workshop as the chief guest. Under the direction of journalist Sarwar Azam Manik, special guest speech was given by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue). Amin Al Parvez, Acting Civil Surgeon Dr Mohiuddin Mohammad Alamgir and General Secretary of Cox's Bazar Press Club Mohammad Mujibul Islam. The training was organized by the Consortium of Media Development and Communication Institute with support from the Global Health Advocacy Incubator. Mir Masroor Zaman, director of the group and senior news editor of Channel Eye, and research director Rezaul Haque are the trainers.

20 journalists from national and regional media working in Cox's Bazar are participating in the training.
