Speakers at a regional workshop organised by the Department of Agricultural Marketing at the Parjatan Motel in Bogura on Wednesday mentioned the DAM was working to make efficient entrepreneurs throughout the country to make agriculture Sustainable and Safe.
It was mentioned in the workshop that various trainings and cooperations will be given to make 20,000 agricultural entrepreneurs including women in the country including 1,300 in the four districts of Bogura region.
Presided over by Dr Abdulla Al Faruk, Programme Director of the Partner Agency of DAM, the workshop was attended and addressed, among others, by Omar Imrul Mohsin, Director of DAM as the Chief Guest, Sarker Shafiuddin Ahmed, Additional Director, DAM, Bogura, Shahana Akhter Jahan, Deputy Director of DAM, Rajshahi, Matlubur Rahman, Deputy Director of DAE, Bogura and Arafat Hossain, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Bogura as the Special Guests while Mamata Haque, Senior Officer of DAM, Bogura delivered the Welcome Speech at the function. Agriculture Entrepreneurs from Bogura, Joypurhat, Sirajganj and Pabna attended the function.
It was mentioned in the workshop that 12,000 young females and 8,000 males throughout the country will get Incubation Support including self-employment and the On Job training. The entrepreneurs will also be cooperated with the instruments, transport and preservation-related supports to transform the country into a Smart Bangladesh.
