A worker was killed and nine other injured in a boiler explosion of a husking mill at Rajagaon village under 14No Rajagaon union of Sadar upazila in Thakurgaon on Sunday morning. The deceased was identified as Soleman Ali, 50, son of Late Abbas Ali, hailed from aforesaid area.
It is learnt that, workers were working at the Vai Vai Husking mill at Rajagaon village under 14No Rajagaon union of Sadar upazila on Sunday. Around 10am, suddenly the boiler of husking mill blasted leaving its worker dead and injured nine others.
Later, the injured workers were admitted to Thakurgaon Modern Sadar Hospital. The injured workers were identified as Sanu,42, Montaj,65, mill owner Ruhul Amin,65, his son Jahirul Islam,35, shopkeeper of Badia market Tulshi,28, pedestrian Arif,15, and Subrato,16. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ruhia Police Station Chitto Ranjon Roy visited the spot.
