Work on to improve education quality in 7 DU colleges

Integrated measures will be taken to solve all the problems of the seven government colleges affiliated to Dhaka University (DU). In addition, work is ongoing to implement the objective of affiliation 'improvement of education'.

DU Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education) and Chief Coordinator of seven colleges Prof Dr ASM Maksud Kamal said this while inspecting the admission test centers of science faculties of seven colleges at Dhaka College on Saturday.

Regarding the steps to be taken for the recent academic delay due to the pandemic, he said, "Special steps have already been taken to reduce the session jam of students from the National University. We will talk to the ministry considering the classroom crisis of seven colleges, teacher crisis and students’ capability. I am trying to implement advanced education in the affiliated colleges very soon”, he added.

Regarding the admission test, he said 73 percent of students were present in yesterday's test. Today's presence is also quite good, he said adding that the ongoing transport strike is not making much impact on the attendance of the tests. Principal of Dhaka College and Coordinator (Focal Point) of Government Seven Colleges Prof IK Selim Ullah Khandaker, Vice Principal of Dhaka College Prof ATM Moinul Hossain, Secretary of Dhaka College Teachers Council and other teachers and officials were present at that time.
