Resources and Thoughtful Efforts: Strengthening the Community and creating Opportunities for Youth- titled seminar was held in Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST).
Vice-Chancellor Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed was present as the chief guest at the seminar held in the mini auditorium of the university under the chair of IICT Director Professor Dr. Mohammad Jahirul Islam on Monday.
In the speech of the chief guest, the Vice Chancellor said that the youths are the main driving force of the country. As an educational institution, our main objective is to make the youth modern. We have taken all kinds of initiatives to realize the objective. We have introduced e-certificate for the 1st time in Bangladesh in university which is accepted all over the world. Digital library launched.
He also said, we are also stopping to protect women's rights. University administration is always active to ensure participation of women in all fields.
Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Kabir Hossain spoke as a special guest in the seminar. University treasurer Professor Amina Parveen, Sylhet City Corporation Councilor Azadur Rahman Azad. The Mayor of Camden of London Mrs. Najma Rahman spoke as the key-note speaker at the seminar.
