International Women's Day has been celebrated in Cox's Bazar under the slogan "New World of Women Equality Pride during Corona".
On the occasion of the day, rally, fair, game, song and discussion meeting were held on Monday in Dhemushia of Chakaria upazila of Cox's Bazar.
Dhemushia Jinnah Ali Chowdhury organised a day-long program on the occasion of International Women's Day at Mukti Cox's Bazar.
The day's programme started with the national anthem. Rally then came out in the presence of local neglected women. The rally went around different roads of Union and ended at Jinnat Ali High School ground.
Later a discussion meeting was held there. Local women UP member Sharmin Akhter, UP member Jamal Hossain, Mukti Cox's Bazar co-ordinator Ashok Sarkar, Sadia Lira, ACFA's Khan Bablur Rahman and others spoke at the discussion. A day-long fair with local women was organized at the place. At the fair, local women display their various products.
