The poor and unemployed women got sewing machines in Gouripur upazila in Mymensingh district, reports BSS.
The machines were distributed by the funding of Mymensingh Zila Parisad with a view to self reliant of the unemployed women to run their livelihood.
Chairman Zila Parisad Yusuf Khan Pathan distributed the sewing machines among the 50 unemployed women as chief guest at function held at the Upazila parisad premises yesterday.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer(UNO) Hassan Maruf presided over the function. Chairman Gouripur upazila parisad Md.Mufazzal Hossen, Vice Chairman Sohel Rana, Vice President district AL advocate Farid Ahamed , Acting President of upazila AL Dr. Helal uddin among others were present.
Yusuf Khan urged beneficiaries to proper use the sewing machines and change their livelihood.
