Riva Dev, proprietor of M Tech Boutique and Tailoring Training Center at Court Road Mirsarai is trying to make the helpless unemployed women of the area self-reliant by providing sewing training step by step. As a result, employment of unemployed women is being created in Mirsarai. It is learned that Riva Dev has been imparting various trainings on sewing designed blankets and handicrafts to unemployed women at her established sewing training center. A number of women have been making garment products with training from this training center.
Riva Dev, a woman entrepreneur of Mirsarai Municipality has set up a training center called M Tech Boutique and Tailoring Training for the employment of women on her own initiative.
Farzana Akhter and Sultana Yasmin Ruby trainees of M Tech Boutique and Tailoring Training Center, said that they are earning Tk 5,000 to Tk 6,000 per month by sewing along with their studies by taking training from Riva Upper Training Center.
Riva Dev upon asking said that she has been training unemployed and helpless women by opening a training center called M Tech Boutique and Tailoring Training Center after completing graduation and training from Chittagong Design Academy to show hope to unemployed women. Her goal is to create a very large garment factory by providing employment opportunities to the trained women workers in the sewing training center and to do something for the country by providing self-employment for the unemployed.
We are women, women can too, we don't want to be left behind, she said. Besides men, women also want to take the helm of the world by earning income. She has given this sewing training for the purpose of making every woman self-reliant in the area. With the help of the government, she hoped to contribute a lot to the elimination of unemployment in the area and to convert the unskilled into skilled manpower.
