An ill-fated mother was killed when her six-year aged child accidentally stabbed her on the chest with a sharp kitchen knife (Hausa) at Berpara village under Paba upazila on Monday.
The victim was identified as Fatema-tuz-Zohra (22), wife of Rabiul Islam of the same village. After the incident, Fatema was rushed to the Emergency Department of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where the attending doctors declared her dead.
Mosharraf Hossain, Ward Master of RMCH informed quoting Rabiul that his six-year old child stabbed on the chest of his mother while playing and she died from stabbing.
The body was sent to the hospital morgue and will be handed over to the family after autopsy. Mazharul Islam, officer-in-charge of Damkura Police Station, said legal action would be taken in this connection.
