Police recovered the body of a woman from Munshikhanpur village under Monirampur upazila in Jashore in the early morning on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Shahida Begum, 55, wife of late Moksed Ali of Munshikhanpur village. The body was sent to Jashore General Hospital for autopsy.
The deceased’s son Abdur Razzak Khan filed a case with Monirampur police station.
He said like other days, on Monday night, his mother went to bed to sleep. In the morning, his uncle screamed after seeing the body in a rope hanged with a tree beside the house.
Sub-Inspector of Monirampur Police Station Prashant Das said when the autopsy report is received, the real reason behind the death will be revealed.
