A mother was killed by her son at the village Gongadashpur in Jibannagar upazila of Chuadanga district over a family feud on June 12.
The deceased was identified as Shajeda Khatun, 45, wife of Montu Miah of village Gongadashpur in Jibannagar upazila of the district.
According to Saiful Islam, OC of Jibannagar police station and family sources, a quarrel broke out between her sonJamirul Islam on the day. At one stage Jamirul Islam hit on the head of his mother with a lathi.
She was taken to Jibannagar Health Complex where the doctor on duty declared her dead. On Information police arrested Jamirul Islam. The body was sent to ChuadangaSadar Hospital Morgue for postmortem. A case was filed with Jibannagar police station.
