Police arrested a Female arms trader along with a foreign made 9 mm pistol and four rounds of bullet in Baropota border village in Benapole on Sunday.
The arrestee was identified as Rehena Begum, 35, wife of Kamrul Islam of Shibnathpur Baropota village under Benapole port police station.
Syed Alamgir Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Benapole Port Police Station said that on secret information about arms trading in Rehena Bagum's resident a team of police conducted a drive at her house and arrested Rehena Bagum while her husband Kamrul Islam managed to flee.
A case was filed with Benapoel Port police station. Rehena sent to Jashore court on Monday afternoon. She was involved with arms trading for long time, OC added.
