Police arrested a woman named Mitu Akhter Moni, 21, with 8,290 pieces of yaba in Chittagong's Banshkhali upazila.
She was arrested from the road adjacent to Futkhali Bridge in South Puichari upazila on Tuesday night.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Banshkhali Police Station Rezaul Karim Majumder confirmed the information on Wednesday. Mitu Akhter Moni is the daughter of late Latif Khandaker of Sharankhola area of Bagerhat district and wife of Akhtar Miah son of Badsha Miah of Moiardia area of Pekua Sadar Union in Cox's Bazar.
A case has been filed under the Narcotics Control Act with the police station in this regard.
