Woman held in violation case

Police on Friday detained a woman for allegedly assisting her husband in violating a woman, who came to the man for getting treatment. The incident took place at Vatpara area of Savar, on the outskirts of the capital. 

“A case has been filed regarding the incident and a woman has been held for allegedly assisting her husband in violating the victim woman”, Tahmudul Islam, Sub-Inspector (SI) at Savar model police station said. He added that they trying to arrest the husband, the prime accused.

The accused were identified as Sekendar Ali, 58, a so-called Kabiraj (a quack who practiced Ayurveda treatment), son of Kalu Sheikh, hailing from Kamalpur area under Enayetpur police station of Shirajganj district, and his wife, aged around 54 years. Police, however, detained the accused woman but Sekender went into hiding since the incident.
