Police recovered the hanging body of a 31-year-old housewife from her house in Chawkbazar area of Dhaka on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Umme Kayes Rinki. She used to live in a rented flat in Posta area with her husband Saidur Rahman.
Md Nazrul Islam, sub-inspector (SI) of Chawkbazar Police Station, said on information they recovered the body around 6:30 am from the flat on the fourth-floor of a building.
The body was later sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy after completing legal formalities, he added.
SI Nazrul Islam said exact cause of death will be known after the postmortem.
