Police recovered the body of a woman wrapped with a scarf around neck from her bedroom at Uttarpara area in Dhaka's Dhamrai on Friday morning. Police, later, sent the body to Shahid Suhrawardy Medical collage hospital morgue for and autopsy and detained her husband for interrogation.
The deceased was identified as Julekha Akter Shikha, 25, wife of Mehedi Hasan, hailed from Uttarpara area of Jadabpur union in Dhamrai.
Quoting Mehedi Hasan, Deceased's husband, Azharul Islam, SI, Dhamrai police station said, her husband found her death around 2am on early Friday, when he woke up and latet they informed police.
"However, we found several injury marks on deceased neck and sent the body for autopsy, as well as we also detained Mehedi Hasan to interrogate. The cause of her death would be confirmed after getting the autopsy report", SI added. In addition, A case has been filed with Dhamarai police station in this regard.
