A 50-year-elderly woman who returned from Dhaka Mogdha died with Covid-19 symptoms at her residence in Sarishabari Upazila of Jamalpur on Friday night. The deceased, resident of Balia village of Duail union of Sarishabari upazila, worked at a garment in Dhaka while her husband worked as hotel boy Dhaka.
Both of them returned to their house from the workplace four days ago and she started suffering from Covid-19 symptoms since then, said Shahedur Rahman, RMO of Sarishabari Upazila Health Complex.
The woman finally died with fever and severe breathing problem at around 6.00 am, he said, adding that local health department collected samples from the deceased’s body.
Local administration locked down the house, said Sarishabari Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Shihab Uddin Ahmed. “Samples will be collected from each of the family members with whom the deceased came in contact,” he added.
