“My husband often forced me to be with other men for money. If I hadn’t agreed to be with other men then he used to beat me a lot. He forced me to be with other men, night after night, even he threatened to spread the video of the scene on internet”, thus a housewife has described the barbarism of her husband to The Bangladesh Post.
The housewife filed a case against her husband with Dhaka court over the incident on Nov 03. She also, filed a General Diary (GD) with Savar Model Police Station demanding life safety on Nov 01.
The accused husband is Methun Sarker, 32, son of Prafulla Sarker, of Batpara area in Savar.
The woman said, “A case was filed against my husband for violating boy on October 19. My husband escaped to avoid arrest after filing of the case. I fled to my father’s house with my child by using this opportunity and took shelter. Later, at first I have filed a general diary with Savar Model Police Station demanding protection of my life, when Methun was threatened to kill me. In addition, I tried to file a case but Savar Model Police Station did not take my case. therefore, I have filed a case with Dhaka court later.”
According to the case statement, Methun married this woman 3 years ago. He used to beat his wife since marriage for dowry. At a point, Methun begins to force his wife to stay with other men for money, even captured the video of the scene by using camera.
Notably, Methun Sarker is also accused in 14 cases, including
extortion.
