Chris Woakes reached a career-best No. 4 position in the ICC ODI rankings for bowlers after finishing with six wickets in the England-Australia ODI series.

Woakes, who also scored 89 runs in the series, took big strides in the rankings for allrounders, moving up to the second position, and is 20 points away from the top-ranked allrounder Mohammad Nabi, reports Cricbuzz.

Jonny Bairstow, meanwhile, entered the top ten list of batsmen after a successful series with the bat, aggregating 196 runs in the three ODIs including a 126-ball 112 in the third game.

The top five in the list of batsmen remain undisturbed, with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma retaining the top two positions, followed by Babar Azam, Ross Taylor and Faf du Plessis.

David Warner, on the other hand, moved down a couple of spots to eighth while Kane Williamson climbed up to sixth, with Aaron Finch sandwiched between the two at seventh.

Woakes, who gained three places in the rankings for bowlers, is 26 points shy of Mujeeb Ur Rahman at third. Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah continue to occupy the top two positions while Josh Hazlewood gained seven spots to move up to the eighth spot.

His pace-bowling colleague Pat Cummins, however, moved down a couple of spots to be ranked sixth while Mitchell Starc and Jofra Archer jointly hold the 10th position.
