Withdrawal of case demanded

A human chain was formed in Narail town on Thursday demanding withdrawal of the case filed by one housewife Tania Begum on the charge of throwing acid. 

The people, who joined the human chain, demanded punishment for Tania who reportedly filed the false case against Jwel, former UP member Ahidul and some other people of Bahirgram village in Narail sadar upazila. 

Kalora UP Chairman Abbas Hossain Sardar, Mulia Union Parishad chairman Rabindranath Adhikari, Kalora UP’s former chairman Ashish Kumar Biswas, Kalora UP members Anwar Mollah, Rahima Begum, Md. Swapan Mollah spoke on the occasion. 

The speakers said that Tania Begum, 30, daughter of Golap Mollah of Bahirgram village has been involved in interest business for a long time. Many people have become destitute by taking interest money from her. 

Interest money receivers people from Tania left home and fled elsewhere previous times. Tania's job is  to collect money by filing lawsuits in the name of innocent people. 

Tania borrowed taka 5 lakh 80 thousand from Jewel. She unnecessarily claimed that she would get 15 lakh taka from Jwel. Creditor Jewel wants to return the money to Tania, Tania unreasonably claims that she will get Tk 15 lakh from Jewel instead of returning the money. 

The speakers further said that Tania used to harass the simple people of the village by misleading the police administration. She filed the case in a bid to harass her opponents and over interest money. 

The speakers demanded punishment for Tania and those who involved in the incident after proper investigation. 

After the human chain, Md Swapan Mollah handed over a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Narail to get relief from the conspiracy case on behalf of the locals.
