WING project of UNDP organised a daylong follow-up workshop for women empowerment through ensuring inclusive development at Cox's Bazar on Sunday.
The workshop titled " Capacity building on getting access to financial resources and digital market Palace", at the seminar hall of 'Motel Upal' in Cox's Bazar.
Project Manager, SWAPNO & WING, UNDP Bangladesh, Kajal Chatterjee delivered address of welcome in the workshop while President of Coxsbazar Women Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CWCCI), Jahanara Islam, female Vice Chairman of Coxsbazar Sadar Upazilla, Hamida Taher and female Vice Chairman of Teknaf Upazilla, Tahera Akhter Milly were present on the occasion as the guests of honour.
National Consultant, WING Project, UNDP Bangladesh and Coordinator 'Anondomela', a digital platform for online sale service, Sarah Zeeta moderated the workshop.
The expert trainers taught the women entrepreneurs about digital marketing, access in online marketplace and motif of the international market and it's necessary information.
Local officers of Prime Bank and BRAC Bank attended the workshop and they taught the participants practically how to open bank account and how to prepare loan application.
They also briefed about what types of loan facilities are there for the SME entrepreneurs in different banks.
'Anondomela', the digital platform for online sale service, will provide necessary cooperation and business knowledge and management skill to the women entrepreneurs to run and sustain their business.
Buyers and sellers will be able to purchase goods and sell their products through using the digital platform 'Anondomela' totally free of cost. The 'Anondomela' will also help small and medium scale entrepreneurs to exhibit their products.
There was also a session on digital marketing, online marketplace access, deliver and & packaging, branding. Participants were also taught how to open a store in the online marketplace and how to operate it.
A total of 40 women entrepreneurs from Teknaf and Cox's Bazar including Rakhain entrepreneurs participated in the workshop.
