West Bengal movie ‘Lukochuri’ hits theatres

"Lukochuri," a Bengali film directed by Shiladitya Moulik, was released on Friday. The movie stars Saheb Chattopadhyay, Angana Roy, and Rajdeep Deb in leading roles.

Newcomer Rajdeep Deb and actress Angana Roy are paired in the film, with Saheb Chattopadhyay playing a central role. Other notable actors include Atmadeep Ghosh, Gulshanara Khatun, Sukanya Bose, and Momo.

The trailer and songs of "Lukochuri" have garnered significant popularity. The story revolves around Mickey, an amateur thief caught on his first night of stealing. Shivangi, the girl who catches him, falls for him, but Mickey 

realizes she's drawn to the thrill of his criminal life.

With help from his brother Jackie, Mickey quits stealing and takes up a job at a village school. 

However, Shivangi struggles with the mundane life Mickey offers. Will she ever accept him again?

Shot in various scenic 

locations in North Bengal, India, "Lukochuri" features songs sung by Lognajita Chakraborty, Saheb Chattopadhyay, Ranjoy Bhattacharya, and Kishore Roy, with music directed by Ranjoy Bhattacharya and cinematography by Sauvik Bose.

Director Shiladitya Moulik expressed optimism about the film, citing its well-received songs and hoping for a positive 

audience response to its unique storyline.
