We will give best in FIFA friendlies: Tohura

Bangladesh women’s national football team are now in Jardan to play two international FIFA friendly matches during the official FIFA women’s international match window.

The girls in Red and Green will play their first match against Indonesia on May 31 and their second match against host Jordan on July 3. Bangaldesh will play both the matches as part of their preparations for the upcoming AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers, where they will face Myanmar, Bahrain and Turkmenistan. 

After a practice matches in, Amman, Jordan on Wednesday, Bangladesh team forward Tohura Khatun looked positive to bestow their maximum efforts to win against Indonesia, thier first match of the tri-nation FIFA friendlies, scheduled.  

According to a vedio message provided by the BFF, Tohura said after a team’s second day’s practice session at Jawa ground in Amman, Jordan, “We have no previous experience of playing against Indonesia. We are going to play against them for the first time and have no idea about them. But our main goal is to win the match and we’ll try our level best to give maximum effort against Indonesia.” 

Tohura said that the second day’s training session was better than we had on the first day and the weather was good enough, and all members of the team are fit at the moment.

Mahbubur Rahman Litu, the deputy of the had coach Peter Butler also said that the girls are fit and participated in their training session on the second day. 

He said that the girls are very motivated and he was expecting that the girls would demonstrate their performance at their optimal level.  

The assistant coach also said that it would be a good opportunity for the girls to learn something from this tournament.
