We’ll be able to build smart Bangladesh with united efforts irrespective of religion: Minister

Land Minister Narayon Chandra Chanda said we will ensure a Smart Bangladesh by 2041 by building a knowledge-based society with the collective efforts of all, irrespective of caste and religion.

 Through the implementation of Smart Bangladesh, we will be able to build the 'Golden Bangla', as dreamt by the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, he added.

Narayon Chandra Chanda said this while addressing the chief guest at the inauguration of the Saraswati Puja ceremony organized by the 'Agargaon Administrative Area Puja Udjapon Parishad' at the Government Music College premises in Agargaon in the capital  Dhaka  on Wednesday.

 The convenor of the Parishad, member of the Bangladesh University Grants Commission, Professor Dr. Biswajit Chanda, and Parishad Member Secretary UGC Assistant Secretary Prabir Chandra Das were present.

Narayon Chandra Chanda said the participation of all irrespective of religion, caste, and community in Saraswati Puja, one of the universal religious festivals of Bangladesh, has added a different dimension to the country's non-communal spirit and tradition. The land minister hoped that Saraswati Puja would become a festival and strengthen such a great tradition of harmony.

It is to be noted that Agargaon Administrative Area Puja Udjapon Parishad performs various social and service works to preserve and revive cultural heritage as well as to build a sense of respect and unity among different communities.

After the speech, the Land Minister unveiled the cover of 'Jyotirmoy' published by 'Agargaon Administrative Area Puja Udjapon Parishad' on the occasion of Saraswati Puja 2024 and inaugurated the website https://pujaupa.org/ of the organization.

UGC Chairman (Acting) Professor Muhammad Alamgir, Member Professor Dr. Md. Sajjad Hossain, Professor Dr. Md. Abu Taher, Professor Dr. Hasina Khan, Secretary Dr. Ferdous Zaman, Director Md. Omar Farooq, Government Music College Principal Kristi Hefaz, Parishad Advisor and Bangladesh Computer Council Executive Director Ranjit Kumar, Joint Convener Dr. Ashok Kumar Roy, Nandalal Das along with officials of various offices in the area and their families.
