Keeping in front of this motto ‘Man for Man”, the members of RAB-9’s Brahmanbaria Company distributed various types of warm clothes and blankets to the floating people in various places of Brahmanbaria district including Brahmanbaria railway station on Saturday.
Wing Commander Md Mominul Haque GD (P) distributed these clothes among 150 floating people.
When asked to know, RAB-9 Sylhet Assistant Superintendent of Police Md Moshihur Rahman (Sohail) said that every year due to the severity of winter and cold wind, many people in the country live in hardship due to lack of warm clothes.
Such humanitarian activities of RAB-9 will continue in the future as well. RAB is always ready to stand by the people of all walks of life through humanitarian assistance.
Gopalganj Correspondent adds: A total of 1,000 blankets were distributed among the helpless and cold-hit people living in Purnabarti village of Pinjuri union under Kotalipara upazila of Gopalganj on Saturday.
The warm clothes were distributed from 'Best Fashion' Relief and Welfare Fund.
Managing Director of the Best Fashion Habibur Rahman Titu's mother Halima Begum handed over the blankets among the helpless and cold-hit people as the chief guest this morning.
Local Awami League (AL) leader Ruhul Amin Hawlader Litu, UP member of the union Oliullah Hawlader and freedom fighter Alamgir Hossain, among others, were present on the occasion.
Halima Begum urged the rich people to stand by the cold affected poor people to mitigate their sufferings.
