‘Want to make Hajj management as a model in the world’

Religion Minister Md. Faridul Haque Khan said that if we want to build a smart Bangladesh, we have to make the Hajj management smart. We want to make Bangladesh's Hajj management a model in  the world.

 The minister said this at the Eid meeting organised at the office of Gaonkura Auto Bike Workers Welfare Association in Islampur, Jamalpur on Saturday evening. The minister highlighted various steps taken by the government in the development of Hajj management and said that in the last decade and a half Bangladesh has been recognized as a role model of development under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.  Various positive changes have been achieved especially in Hajj management.  Laws and regulations have been formulated for the management of Hajj and Umrah.  Ashkona Hajcamp is made suitable for pilgrims.  E-Hajj management has been launched.  Bangladesh Plaza has been established at Jeddah Hajj Terminal.  A record number of 13 lakh 90 thousand 635 pilgrims have performed Hajj in the last 15 years.

 Autobike Sramik Kalyan Samiti President Shahidur Rahman was the special guest under the chairmanship of Upazila Awami League General Secretary Ed.  Abdus Salam, Vice-President Shahadat Hossain Swadhin, Organizing Secretary A. Khalek Akhand, Sardar Zakiul Haque, Officer-in-Charge Suman Talukder, Ex-Panel Mayor Ankan Karmkar and others were present.
