The founder, Sheikh Sadi Abdul Mojid and the co-founders of Waffle Gang had a vision for a new business that could quickly grow with limited resources. Inspired by a visit to a European dessert shop, Waffle Gang initially considered joining forces with a reputed multinational franchise to expand the business. However, when they didn't respond to its inquiries, it decided to forge its own path.
Determined to succeed, Waffle Gang focused on five key aspects of waffle business: taste, price, good profits, rapid growth, and a welcoming atmosphere.
Waffle Gang began its journey in September 2022 with the opening of the first outlet in Narayanganj. One of its Co-Founder, KaziNahisul Islam Saddam, provided a location for the restaurant, and Waffle Gang team worked diligently to create a cosy and inviting environment. One of the challenges Waffle Gang faced was finding the perfect taste for waffles while keeping them affordable, healthy, and delicious. After three months of hard work, its co-founders achieved the desired taste.
Waffle Gang officially opened its doors on February 14, 2023. Despite being new to the restaurant business, it quickly gained popularity in Narayanganj as customers fell in love with its waffles and food bloggers shared glowing reviews. Waffle Gang soon realized the importance of tracking all business data, not just sales, for optimal operations. As a result, with the help of its co-founder Arman Ahmed Ayon, it implemented in-depth business reporting system and integrated accounting and sales modules to manage costs and increase profits.
