Dhaka University Central Students Union (DUCSU) AGS Saddam Hossain on Sunday alleged that DUCSU Vice president (VP) Nurul Haque Nur is now busy with lobbying to get political post in Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), student wing of BNP. He brought this allegation at a press conference held at DUCSU building on inauguration of vending machine for female students at DU.

Saddam said, “DUCSU VP is busy to make his political career instead of working for student’s welfare. He has forged friendly relations with communal groups, he is now lobbying to get post in JCD central committee.” VP Nurul Haque Nur turned down Saddam’s allegation and said “It is a propaganda, they are envious of our popularity. They said in the past that we are working for Jamaat-Shibir. DUCSU VP identity is enough for me, I don’t need any post either in JCD or BCL.”

He also questioned about Saddam Hossain’s mental health and said, “He (Saddam) is a representative of students, but yet he could not pass honor’s exam. He is mentally ill, that’s why he is behaving like a mad.” Notably, DUCSU is going to introduce vending machine for female students to provide sanitary napkin at a cost of Tk 10 only.

The service will be inaugurated on December 4 at Dhaka University’s Payra Chattar at TSC. Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni will inaugurate the service as the chief guest. The vending machine will be available in 10 spots of Dhaka University from December 4. ACI Freedom Hygiene Corner will sponsor the service.
