Bengrol Ziabari Social Development Organization, a voluntary organization, distributed dry food among 200 families, who have become unemployed from remaining in home due to corona virus outbreak at Baliadangi upazila of Thakurgaon on Tuesday.
Hassan Ali, Executive Director of the voluntary organisation distributed these while maintaining social distance at the Bengrol Ziabari Furkaniya Madrasa field in the Duosuo Union of the upazila. Other members of the organization, including local UP members, were present at the time.
Hasan Ali said, "We are trying to help common people who are left unemployed in the corona situation beside the government. As part of this program, along with other members of the organization, essential items including dry food, rice, pulses, potatoes were provided to 200 families. As well as techniques for safeguarding against corona infections have been taught to them.
Earlier on Monday, dry food was delivered to the houses of the common people in the area. He also distributed leaflets, masks and soap to remain protected against corona virus infection by them. Hasan Ali urged the government as well as the local rich to come forward to help these distressed people.
