In rural areas, stories of ghosts and haunting experiences are often heard from the elderly people. Many a times they install fear in the minds of the children by telling these stories. This causes the children to get scared and fall asleep early.
There are various types of children's books available on the market. However, in the present modern age, the horror genre seems to have lost its value.
In the twenty-first century, horror stories for the children seem to excite them. A ride called 'Bhooter Ghar-Sangsar' (Livelihood of Ghosts) has been constructed at the children's park Rangpur Amusement Park Zoo. This new addition is not a story, but a kingdom of artificial ghosts. The ride is scheduled to be launched for children today (Friday). According to the makers, this is the first ride in a children's park that is conceptualised on ghosts. Children will have a lot of fun on the ride.
The only recognised children's park in Rangpur Division is at Rangpur Zoo. There are many children's rides. These include Electric Bullet Train, 3D Movies, Merry-Go Round, Danger Roller Boat, Music Fighter Plane, Spider Cradle etc. The new ride on ghosts has been built under-ground for about 8 months. This will make the experience in the children's park more enriched.
There will be a chill down one’s spine starting from the entrance itself. The more one steps inside the dark alley, the more thrilling it will feel. It's like experiencing a different kind of entertainment along with fear.
‘Bhooter Ghar-Sangsar’ is decorated with the resemblance of more than fifty types of ghosts. Scenes of bathing in the fountain, scary giggling and laughter, frightening dances, hanging in various poses from branches of trees, cooking on the stove, carrying corpses on the bed etc. The alley in the ride welcomes with darkness and many other horrifying sounds and scenes.
The planner and leaseholder of Rangpur Zoo, Ramzan Ali Tuhin, said that the ride was built to entertain the children while being thrilled.
He also said “This exception has been made so that people of all ages including children, old people, men and women can enter the children's park of Rangpur Zoo and return with a thrilling experience at a low ticket price. In addition, the ride is also a way to eliminate fear of ghosts from the minds of the children.”
