The government on Sunday decided not to allow any Bangladeshis to go abroad without a coronavirus negative certificate.
Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen chaired the inter-ministerial meeting, the foreign ministry said.

The meeting decided that all Bangladeshis going abroad would have to go with a coronavirus negative certificate from now on. And this certificate has to be collected by testing from a government approved corona testing center, the foreign ministry said in a statement.

The meeting also recommended that the coronavirus negative certificate be posted on the website of the concerned institution for the convenience of the immigration authorities.

It was also decided to set up a dedicated coronavirus testing center under the Ministry of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment to facilitate testing of those going abroad for employment.
