The fourth phase of the Virtual Reality (V-R) exhibition is currently taking place at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the capital. The academy has taken this initiative to popularize the use of modern technology in the country’s art and cultural arena while highlighting the importance of art in daily life.
At present, three special exhibitions are being held at Shilpakala Academy alongside the V-R event. These are the '6th National Sculpture Exhibition', 'July Uprising on Posters', and 'July: Heroic Daughter'. Art enthusiasts and visitors are enjoying these unique exhibitions, which present the country's rich history, culture, and artistic heritage through creative displays.
As part of the Virtual Reality initiative, exhibitions are also being organized at various educational institutions. A three-day V-R exhibition began yesterday at Dhaka Residential Model College. Students of the institution are getting the opportunity to experience contemporary Bangladeshi art and advanced information technology through Virtual Reality tools.
According to the organizers, the purpose of this program is to inspire the young generation by introducing them to the evolving use of technology in the world of art. By participating in these exhibitions, students can develop their creativity and imaginative thinking while staying connected to the country’s cultural history and traditions.
The Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy authorities said similar exhibitions will be held at other schools, colleges, and universities in the future. They believe such efforts will help young learners learn about the country's culture through new and exciting ways while also making them familiar with modern technology.
Art lovers, students, and teachers have expressed their satisfaction with this initiative and hoped such exhibitions would continue in the coming days.
