A discussion on Victory Day organized by Bangladesh National Awami Party (Bangladesh NAP) was held at Jadu Mia auditorium in the capital’s at Nayapaltan on Saturday.
Secretary General of the party M Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan presided over the discussion, while it was attended, among others, by president of Jatiya Gonotantrik League MA Jalil, secretary general of National Democratic Party (NDP) Manjur Hossain Isa, convener of Gonotantrik Oikya Rafiqul Islam, NAP vice chairman Swapan Kumar Saha, organising secretary Md Kamal Bhuiyan, Dhaka city unit president Shahidunnabi Dablu and Dhaka city unit leader Sadia Islam Imon. At the end of the discussion, a special prayer was offered seeking salvation for the departed souls of martyred freedom fighters who had sacrificed their lives during the Bangladesh War of Liberation in 1971.
The speakers said that democracy in the country has not been flourished till now. People of the country foster the spirit of democracy and they took part in the Liberation War actively for the democracy.
