The verdict of sensatioal Rifat Sharif murder case of Barguna will be pronounced by the court on Sepember-30,2020 . At 12-30 pm on Wednesday( Sept-16)Md. Asduzzaman, Judge of Barguna district and Session Judges Court set the date of verdict of the case .
The verdict of Rifat murder is going to be pronounced after the presentation of arguments for and against 10 adult accused of Rifat murder case.
The court sources informed, after the end of taking deposition of 76 witnesses against 10 adult accused, the court took the Safai deposition infavour of an accused. Later, the concerned lawyers presented arguments for and against all accused at the court. After presenting argument in favour of Ayesha Sidique Minni, wife of assassinated Riaft, the court set the date of pronouncement of the verdict.
The adult accused in the Rifat murder case are- Rakibul Hasan Rifat Faraji, Al Qayyum alias Rabbi Akon, Mohaiminul Islam Sifat, Rezwan Ali Khan Hridoy alias Tiktak Hridoy, Md. Hasan, Md. Musa, Ayesha Siddique Minni, Rafiul Islam Rabbi, Md. Sagar and Kamrul Islam Saimoon.
On June 26, 2019, Rifat Sharif was publicly hacked and killed in front of Barguna Government College. Later, police submitted inquiry report of the case to the court accusing 10 adults and 14- minor aged( juvenile) youngmen.
Borguna District and Session Judge court formed chargesheet of the case against 10 adult accused on January-1. On the other hand, the Chlidren related ( Juvenile) Court of Borguna formed charge sheet of the case against 14- minor aged non-adult (juvenile) accused.
Musa, adult accused of the case is still absconding and Minni, wife of Rifat and minor aged accused Prince Mollah have been granted bail from the order of the higher court.
