A special flight of US-Bangla Airlines has brought back the expatriate Bangladeshi nationals stranded in the United Arab Emirates due to the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic.
On Monday, from Dubai a total of 160 passengers including 1 child flew to Dhaka and landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 10:58am.
US-Bangla Airlines has operated a special flight under the auspices of Bangladesh Air Force Welfare Trust to facilitate the repatriation of Bangladeshi expatriates stranded in Dubai. The special flight was operated on the Dubai-Dhaka route with US-Bangla Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Every passenger from Dubai travels with a Coronavirus Negative Certificate. There was also an obligation to carry two pairs of disposable gloves and a mask with each passenger as per the hygiene guidelines.
Due to the outbreak of Covid-19, a large number of expatriate Bangladeshis have been stranded in various cities in the UAE for more than three months. US-Bangla Airlines has extended a helping hand to bring back Bangladeshi passengers from Dubai through the mediation of Bangladesh and UAE governments.
It may be mentioned here that for the first time US-Bangla Airlines operates a special flight to Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
