Khanquah-e-Shaheed Mia Saheb's Maidan Khanquah Sharif, situated at Luxmibazar, Old Dhaka held religious discussion, Hamd and Nat-e-Rasul (SM), milad and doa mahfil marking the holy annual Urs afrer Maghrib prayers held on Sunday.
Ninth goddinashin Pir Alhaj Hazrat Shah Sufi Syed Ahmadur Rahim (Damat Barakatuhum) who is also the Mutawalli of Hazrat Shah Sufi Syed Abu Yousuf Abdullah (Ra) Waqf Estate and Director of Mia Saheb Maidan Shah Saheb Bari Jame Masjid, conducted the religious discussion, doa mahfil and akheri munazat.
The programme began through a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Haji Dr Mohammad Istiaq Sazzadur Rahman, and Hafez Faruk resumed the Milad Mahfil.
A discussion and doa mahfil was held on the occasion of the 88th death anniversary of Alhaj Hazrat Moulana Shah Sufi Syed Abu Yusuf Abdullah, the sixth goddinoshin peer of Mia Saheb Maidan Khanquah Shahrif and founder of Hazrat Abu Yousuf Abdullah (RA) Waqf Estate.
Discussion on his life and work was organised on the occasion.
Pesh Imam and khatib of Shah Saheb Bari Jame Masjid and other Islamic scholars participated in the religious discussion. After that,the milad mahfil began (Magrib prayer) which was conducted by Haji Dr Mohammad Istiaq Sazzadur Rahman, and Hafaez faruk.
Later tabarak was distributed among the devotee by convener of the programme Sayed Taiyab Morshed Araf, said a press release.
