The annual Urs marking the 289th death anniversary of Alhaj Hazrat Maulana Shah Sufi Sayed Abdur Rahim Shaheed (RA), founder of the Mia Saheber Maidan Khanka Sarif,and 10th descendant of Boro Pir Hazrat Abdul Kader Jilani (RA) will be held on the mazar premises today (Friday) at Luxmibazar in Old Dhaka .
A day-long programme including Quran khwani, after Fazar prayers, hamd, naat, and milad mahfil, religious discussion and discussion on the life and activities of Alhaj Hazrat Maulana Shah Sufi Syed Abdur Rahim Shaheed widely knows as' Mia Shaheb's Huzur ' after Jummah prayers have been organised on the occasion.
Ninth Goddinashin Peer Alhaj Hazrat Shah Sufi Sayed Ahamadur Rahim who is also the Mutawalli of Alhaj Hazrat Shah Sufi Sayed Abu Yousuf Abdullah (RA) Waqf Estate and director of Mia Saheb's Maidan Shah Saheb Bari Jamey Masjid will conduct the religious discussion, dua mahfil and akheri munajat .
The programme will begin through recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Dr. Haji Mohammed Ishtiaq Sazzadur Rahman , Hafez Faruqe and Hafez Rahmotullah. The milad mahfil will be conducted by Haji Sayed Barkatullah Badaruddin. The program will commence with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an (Tilawat-e-Kalam-e-Pak) by internationally renowned Qari and Hafiz, Qari Md. Zahirul Islam. The gathering will then be addressed by the young Islamic scholar and speaker, Hazrat Mawlana Mufti Mohammad Javed Omar Al Qaderi. Hazrat Mawlana Mufti Mozammel Hossain. Pesh Imam Mufti Abdur Rahman Belali, who is also khatib of Shah Saheb’s Bari Jame Masjid,will also deliver an important speech on the occasion and other Islamic scholars will participate in the discussion on the occasion.
Later tabarak will be distributed among the devotee. Convener of the programme Saiyed Taiyab Morshed Araf has invited all to attend the function, said a press release.
