Young filmmaker Zobaydul Rahman’s debut feature film Ural premiered last Friday in three major cinemas in Dhaka — Star Cineplex, Blockbuster Cinemas, and Lion Cinemas — marking an exciting new addition to the local film scene.

To celebrate Friendship Day, the makers of Ural have launched a special buy-one-get-one ticket offer exclusively at Blockbuster Cinemas. This limited-time offer will run through August 4, allowing friends to enjoy the film together at no extra cost.

The film is produced by Sharif Siraj, who is known for backing creative and socially relevant projects. His support for this film has played a key role in bringing a new generation of talent to the big screen.

Ural is not just a film about friendship. It explores deeper themes such as trust, injustice, power, and youth-led resistance against impunity. With a storyline that reflects the spirit of young people standing up for truth, the film offers both entertainment and a strong social message.

The film features a cast of mostly fresh faces, including Mahafuz Munna, Sohel Tawfiq, Shanto Chandra Sutradhar, Kabyakotha, KM Abdur Razzak, Korobi Dash, Roshen Sharif, and Mir Sarowar Ali. For many of them, Ural marks their big-screen debut.

Behind the scenes, Ural is supported by a skilled creative team. Cinematography is done by Ibad Aleem, production design by Rafi Al Amin, editing by Ashiqur Rahman, and music by Khayyam Sanu Sandhi.

The film is distributed by Abhi Kathachitra under the banner of Jatra Party. The Friendship Day offer and positive word-of-mouth are expected to attract young audiences eager to support a fresh voice in Bangladeshi cinema.
