Chairman of Shahjahanpur Union Parishad Taufiqul Alam, 62, died with corona like symptoms in Madhabpur upazila of Hobiganj on Sunday morning.
Madhabpur Upazila Health Officer Ishtiaq Al Mamun said that Taufiqul Alam had been suffering from mild fever, cold and other respiratory problems for the past few days.
His samples were collected on June 18 and sent to a lab for testing to make sure whether he had corona virus in his body or not.
However, the report was not received yet so, it was not possible to say for sure if he was corona positive.
