Since the outbreak of the country a scene is being commonly seen on social media platforms such as Facebook and YouTube. The scene refers to the dispersing of advice and suggestions related to the healing and quack-like remedial measures for coronavirus infected patients.
This is in no way something can be vetted or cross checked scientifically and there is also no supportive arguments from researchers that help to establish these suggestions.
A recent report published in this daily projected that taking social media suggested drugs without doctor's advice increases the health risks in the long run.
Regarding this, experts are of the opinion that patients should only follow doctor’s prescriptions. Consuming highly effective medicine with corona-like symptoms could permanently damage human organs.
Since most modern day medications have some sort
of side effects the common people should not just go
online or on social media seeking advice from people
who are not certified medical practitioners
Not only are we alarmed at the rate at which such suggestions are being passed on to the common people but also the sheer amount of people that accept and follow these suggestions.
We believe that amongst these large number of people trying to pass on prescriptions there are a few genuine certified medical practitioners who are in a dilemma as to whether they should try to do these types of acts to help the public.
Facing such dilemmas and the fact that there is no effective remedy of Covid-19 most doctors expect the people to buff their immune system in a natural manner. This way there will be less chances of falling into something that can ultimately prove harmful in the long term.
We think that buffing up the immune system will also help in the longevity of life. Also since most modern day medications have some sort of side effects the common people should not just go online or on social media seeking advice from people who are not certified medical practitioners.
Authorities concerned should pay heed to this problem sooner rather than later and nip it in the bud lest there is a nig percentage of the population that faces problems due to improper intake of prescription drugs.
