An unique event called 'Night Bazaar' has been started in the capital's Gulshan area. Organized by Gulshan Society, an organisation of the residents in Gulshan area, the 'Night Bazaar 2026' has been started for three nights from Thursday. The fair will run from 7 pm to 3 am in every night.
Dhaka North City Corporation Administrator Shafiqul Islam Khan, Gulshan Society President Barrister Omar Sadat and other local dignitaries formally inaugurated this makeshift market at around 11 pm on Thursday at Shaheed Dr. Fazle Rabbi Park in Gulshan-1 area. Top leaders of Gulshan Society and officials of various organizations participating in the market were present at the time.

On the launching night, around 60 stalls have displayed their various types of products including local brands, food stalls, lifestyle products. In addition, there are arrangements to highlight the activities of Gulshan Society and encourage local entrepreneurs.
At the inauguration ceremony, Dhaka North City Corporation Administrator Shafiqul Islam Khan said, it would be better if all the societies like Gulshan Society take such type of initiative. Good relations would have been developed between the societies. Urging other societies like Gulshan Society to organize such events, the administrator said that the City Corporation will support such events.

The main organizer of this fair, Gulshan Society President Barrister Omar Sadat said, the main objective of this event is to bring some variety to the daily life and bring everyone together in a joyful atmosphere.
Mutual Trust Bank PLC is the title sponsor of this year's Night Bazaar. At the inauguration ceremony, the bank's Managing Director and CEO Syed Mahbubur Rahman said, they have become partners in this event as part of their social responsibility.
