An unidentified woman (40) was rescued from behind Laxmiganj Bazar in Latibabad Union of Sadar Upazila on Tuesday and was taken to Kishoreganj 250-bed General Hospital where she died to her injuries.
According to the police and the locals, the locals informed the police when they saw her lying injured in a bamboo bush behind Laxmiganj Bazar and the police rescued her and brought her to the hospital. She died while undergoing treatment there.
Kishoreganj Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Abu Bakar Siddique said fingerprints were collected to identify the dead woman through NID cards. Her DNA profile is being created. Messages have been sent to every police station across Bangladesh and preparations are underway to file a murder case.
