The Department of English and Humanities of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) held a three-hour poetry workshop with fiction writer and poet, Rochelle Potkar, from Mumbai, India on 23 June at the university auditorium on campus a, Dhanmondi in the capital.
Professor Fakrul Alam introduced the poet who then began the workshop with a reading of some of her poetry. The workshop focused on the poetic form, haiku, and the haibun.
The workshop was attended by the Pro-Vice Chancellor of ULAB, Professor Shamsad Mortuza, the Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities, faculty members and interested students from all ULAB departments.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Professor Mortuza.
