Police arrested two teachers of Kasipur Datul Ulum Kaomi Madrasha under Jiobn Nagar of Chuadanga district for mercilessly beating a child student of class two of the institution on Wednesday.
The accused teachers have been identified as Majed Hossain and Shahin Hossain of the same Madrasha while the student is Nasim son of Alauddin of village Majherpara Kashipur village of Jibonagarupazila. Father of the student lodged a written complaint with Jibon Nagar Police station on Wednesday night.
Police arrested both the teachers the same night. Nasim informed on Wednesday noon, teachers Majed and Shehin beat him mercilessly over a futile incident and confiscated him inside a room. Later, during the time of Zohr prayer, Nasim tried to escape from the room when teacher Shehi caught him and beat him again and confiscated him again inside the room of the madrasha.
Being informed, local people rushed to the spot and rescued child Nasim from there. Accused two teachers informed, Nasim remains often absent at the madrasah.
Even, he often escaped from the class that is why they threatened him and canned him when he was injured slightly on his hand. They beg pardon for such did and assured there will be no more such incident again. Saiful Islam, Officer-in-charge of Jibon Nagar Police station informed, two teachers of the madrasa were arrested as per the written complaint of the father of the tortured student. They have been sent to jail through the court.
