A number of allegations have been brought both unofficially and officially against the quality of web series being created in the country in accordance with the tradition and culture of Bangladesh.

As such, many people have criticized the making of web series in such manner. Even though the audience-critics digested the issue, it had left a deep mark amongst those in the acting field.

It is learned that some 'clips' of the alleged series have been spread on Messenger and are still providing hate fuel! However, following the allegations, two of the three web series (Boomerang and Sadarghater Tiger) have been taken down from Binge OTT app. The other series titled ‘August 14’ still has its place in the app but has undergone several cuts in scenes.

However, Nur-e-Tazrian Khan,  the Head of Marketing of Red Dot Digital Ltd, the production company that started Binge, said that they have tried their utmost to remove the controversial series and scenes.

However, since the webseries had been pirated and spread over YouTube they are being extra cautious about piracy.

He added, “We didn't want to do anything that goes against the audience.

We are trying to create what the audience likes. This platform has just started. As a result, we are trying to create a strong position through trial and error. We don’t want there to be any controversy.”
