Two ships separated after 48 hours

After the collision at the Karnaphuli river in Patenga, container vessel 'MV Express Mahananda' and the oil tanker 'MT Bourgan' were separated 48 hours. Chittagong Port's Department of Marine Engineering has separated the ships. 

The incident took place on Friday at the channel adjacent to the Boat Club area. Then the vessel was taken to the 7 no Dolphin Oil jetty with the help of two powerful 6 tugboats. On Sunday, the two people were able to separate the ship at eight in the morning.

Captain M Shafiul Bari, the member of Chittagong Port (Harbar and Marine) said that the two were separated. The container ship will leave the port on for unloading to Kuwait after the repair of the GCB-12 bertha and the oil tanker.
