Two more persons tested positive for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours until Friday morning, raising the total number of infections to 6,818 in the district.
"During the period, 22 samples were tested. Of them, two persons were detected positive for Covid-19," Civil Surgeon office sources confirmed.
A total of 164 patients have so far died of the lethal virus and 6,618 patients have recovered from the disease here, the sources added.
At present, thirty patients are undergoing treatment in the district and of them, four patients are getting treatment in the Covid dedicated hospitals and others at home, the sources mentioned.
Mentionable, a total of 13, 88,089 people have administered the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine while 13,58,505 people got the second dose and 3,51,363
people have received the booster dose of the vaccines here to prevent the spread of the deadly virus.
