Jaaz Multimedia, one of the country's largest production companies, created uproar in the country by announcing the fim ‘Masud Rana’ (MR9) with a budget of Tk 84 crore.
It will be jointly associated with a Hollywood production company. Apart from Dhallywood-Hollywood artistes the film will also feature several Bollywood stars in the international standard cinema.
There have been a lot of rumours throughout the previous year about ‘Ke Masud Rana’. But the film targeting the international market has not yet begun to shoot.
Meanwhile, at the end of last year, talks suddenly started about another new Masud Rana film to be created by Jaaz other than MR9. It will be directed by Shoikot Naser. However, the news was limited to only discussions.
This time, the Jaaz authorities have officially announced the new Masud Rana film. One of them will be on a small budget for domestic range and will be directed by Shoikot Naser where Masud Rana will be played by the champion of ‘Ke Hobe Masud Rana’—Rasel Rana.
Jaaz wrote on their official facebook page on Thursday, “This year we are making two Masud Rana films. One of the productions will show Rasel Rana, who was champion of ‘Ke Hobe Masud Rana’. Another one will be from Hollywood. Everything that happens to be from Hollywood is locked. But without the permission of the Hollywood producer, we cannot share anything individually. We hope you will get some good news very soon. However, we are confirming that we are doing another Masud Rana film from Bangladesh. ”
It is reported that the shooting of the local 'Masud Rana' will begin in April. Soon the names of all the artistes will be announced. It is almost certain that some of the top ten participants from ‘Ke Hobe Masud Rana’ will be seen here. The main character Rasel Rana is in India at present to take up acting and dance training.
